Electrust ("we", "us", "our") is a sole trader operated by Steven Welsh, 12 Charles Street, Gargunnock, FK8 3DD. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website and our quoting process, in line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Information we collect
When you request a quote or contact us, we collect the details you provide — typically your name, phone number, email address, postcode and a description of the electrical work required. We do not collect payment information through this website.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote.
- To arrange, deliver and invoice work you book.
- To issue electrical test certificates and safety records.
- To comply with our regulatory obligations (e.g. NICEIC / SJIB record keeping).
Legal basis
We process your data on the basis of legitimate interest (responding to your enquiry), contract (delivering booked work) and legal obligation (retaining test records).
Sharing
We do not sell your data. We may share limited details with regulatory bodies where required, and with third-party tools we use to run the business (e.g. email, invoicing, CRM). All processors are bound by their own UK GDPR obligations.
Retention
Enquiry details are retained for up to 24 months. Job records, invoices and electrical certificates are retained for a minimum of 6 years to meet accounting and safety-record obligations.
Your rights
