These terms apply to all electrical work supplied by Electrust ("we", "us"), a sole trader operated by Steven Welsh, 12 Charles Street, Gargunnock, FK8 3DD.
1. Quotes
Written quotes are valid for 30 days from issue. Quotes are based on the information supplied at the time and on a visual inspection where relevant. Where hidden conditions (concealed cabling, unexpected fabric damage, non-compliant existing installations) are discovered during work, additional charges may apply and will be agreed with you in writing before proceeding.
2. Pricing
Prices are quoted in pounds sterling and, unless stated otherwise, are inclusive of labour and standard materials. Bespoke fittings, decorative accessories, builders' work, plastering, tiling and decoration are not included unless expressly listed. Call-out fees are priced by distance and start from £60.
3. Payment
Payment is due on completion unless agreed otherwise in writing. Larger jobs may require a materials deposit. Accepted payment methods are bank transfer and cash. Overdue invoices may incur interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 where applicable.
4. Workmanship Guarantee
All labour is guaranteed for 12 months from completion. If any installed work fails through our workmanship within this period, we will return and rectify at no cost. The guarantee does not cover damage caused by third parties, misuse, subsequent alterations by others, wear and tear, or acts of God.
5. Certification
Notifiable and prescribed work is tested and certified in accordance with BS 7671 (18th Edition) and relevant Scottish Building Standards. Certificates are issued on completion and full payment.
6. Access & Safety
You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the working area. Where isolation of supply is required, we will agree timing in advance. We reserve the right to refuse or stop work where safety cannot be assured.
7. Cancellations
Booked appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged at a minimum call-out fee to cover reserved time. Materials ordered specifically for your job are non-refundable once ordered.
8. Liability
We hold £1,000,000 public liability insurance. Our liability is limited to the value of the work carried out, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded (for example, death or personal injury caused by negligence).
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
